CAHA wishes to thank all of the people who helped make the State Championship a success - volunteers, coaches, players, referees parents.... We hope that all of you enjoyed the tournament and will help us continue the tradition.
We know that there are ways we can improve and we look forward to your feedback to help us make it even better next year. Your feedback is valued (both positive and negative) and certainly we would love to have you volunteering to help next season! We have distributed a satisfaction survey by email.
This tournament is put on by 100% volunteers, every member of the CAHA board freely gave their time to organize and oversee this 350+ game festival. We could not have done it without the help of many other volunteers as well.
This is a giant undertaking and many people don't realize just how much work goes into it.

Parent Registration - CAHA/Avs Cares - At least one (1) parent for each player is required to register with CAHA per the SafeSport Program.
Coaches/Managers/Referees/Billet Families/Board Members - All coaches (head and assistant), team managers, referees, billet family members and board members are required to register online with CAHA each season. All registrations will be submitted for the required background screenings.

CAHA has two outstanding (PCA) Positive Coaching Alliance seminars that can be used by any of our associations this upcoming spring season. These seminars stress the skills necessary to have a strong foundation in coaching hockey and all athletics.
Coaches play an incredibly influential role in the lives of athletes. Often players spend more time with their coaches than anyone else outside of the home environment. Therefore, it is important that school and youth sports organization (YSO) leaders and administrators take care in setting standards of success for the coaching staff, especially when hiring and training coaches. At Positive Coaching Alliance, we believe these standards are reflected not just on the scoreboard. While winning is important, it is more important that coaches teach life lessons through sports. We consider a coach that focuses on both of these outcomes to be a Double-Goal Coach®.
If you want to schedule a PCA Coaching seminar please contact either Randy Kanai or Greg Johnson. Since there are only two seminars this will be on a first come first serve basis to reserve one of the seminars
